Vegan Naan

Starch

1 tsp instant yeast
0.75 cup warm water
1 tsp granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose flour or white whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
0.75 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp coconut cream *may omit if needed
2 tbsp olive oil
Optional: melted vegan butter for serving, minced garlic or fresh herbs

add yeast and sugar to large bowl, pour 100F water on top
let sit until frothy
add flour, salt, baking powder, coconut cream, olive oil
stir with woden sppon
knead for 2-3 min
put dough in bowl, cover
let rise for 30 min in a warm place
flat and divide into 8 pieces
heat a large skillet over medium heat
roll pieces out into 0.25" thick pieces
cook until large bubbles are formed and is brown
flip, cooking 1-2 min more until brown as well
keep warm in towel
