Marinade Pork Chops
Pork Chops: 2 lbs (about 4 bone-in or boneless chops, 1-inch thick)
Soy Sauce: 1/2 cup
Brown Sugar: 1/4 cup
Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
Black Pepper: 1 tsp
Optional: 1 tsp red pepper flakes (for a slight kick)
Marinate:
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Place pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over chops, ensuring they’re fully coated.
- Seal or cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours (or up to 6 hours for deeper flavor).
Preheat Traeger:
- Set Traeger grill to 450°F (190°C) and preheat for 15 minutes with the lid closed.
Grill:
- Remove pork chops from marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard marinade.
- Place chops on the grill grates. Close lid and grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium.
- Flip only once to get good grill marks.
Rest:
- Remove chops from grill and let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
Serve:
- Serve hot with sides like grilled vegetables or mashed potatoes.
